Questions from the paddock
Do I need an account to start?
No. Open the editor and start painting straight away. Your work-in-progress stays in your browser. Create a free account when you want to save designs and get a share link.
Can I use my own logos and sponsor decals?
Yes. Upload your own logos and place them on any view. Free accounts get 2 uploads per design; Pro is unlimited.
Can a helmet painter work from my design?
That's the idea. Share the 3D link so they can spin it, and Pro adds a printable paint template with all five views laid out flat.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is $17 once, per account, for as long as Helmet Designer exists, including new shells as we add them.
Which helmets can I design?
Two motorsport shells at launch: a GP-style single-seater full-face and a kart/track-day full-face. Cycling, American football, ice hockey and ski helmets are on the way.
Will this look exactly like a real painted helmet?
Very close. Finishes are rendered physically (gloss, matte, metallic, chrome, pearl), but screens and paint differ, so treat it as a design tool rather than a colour-matched proof.
