Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We keep them to a minimum: there are no advertising, social-media or third-party analytics cookies on helmetdesigner.com, and no tracking scripts from anyone else.

Analytics (only if you accept)

`hd_visitor`	A random id (nothing else about you) so we can see how people come back and go from trying the editor to saving and sharing. If you sign up, your earlier visits are linked to your account. Rejecting deletes it.	6 months

Whatever you choose, we count page views and editor actions on our own servers without cookies: IP addresses are shortened before they're stored and visits are grouped by an anonymous code that changes every day, so nothing is stored on your device and one day's visits can't be linked to the next. More in our Privacy policy.

Your browser's storage

The editor keeps your work-in-progress in your browser's local storage (keys starting helmet-designer:): the design you're working on, a backup of the last saved design you opened, recently used colours and commands, and whether you've seen the welcome screen. It never leaves your device unless you save to your account, and it's needed for the editor to work. Clear it from your browser's site settings.

When you buy Pro you check out on Stripe's own pages (checkout.stripe.com), which set their own cookies for payment and fraud prevention under Stripe's cookie policy.
